I'm willing to work a bit on some coding and whatnot. Got a cool idea for a mod? I might just work on it. Limits: - No SP stuff - No graphics or engine stuff - No models/skins/non code stuff - I don't have a Mac or Linux machine, so there's a slim chance of me supporting that. - Probably nothing that requires new anims (unless you've got them...I'm not an animator) - No models. srs

Simple Squad AI - In MP it always bugged me that you could never get those NPCs to follow you like in SP, but even then sometimes I didn't want them to move! My ideal here is, some NPC Squad Commands.

Like hitting "ENTER" on them will make them start and stop following you, and some commands like "follow", "stay", "Defend Target", and "Attack Target". Of course this should only apply to Friendly NPCs.

Another thing that I would like to see done, is to fix some of the Multiplayer NPC AI, to make it a bit brighter, like in Singleplayer, whoever I doubt one could get to close to SP NPC AI in Multiplayer.

That's what I got for now... In the morning (here) I'll see what else I can think up...

Oh I'll doubt he'll do it, it was just a suggestion. It's probably not one of the better ideals he's done.

Still would of been a nice little (or medium) sized mod if you ask me...

Universal patch to prevent JA (server) from accepting more than like 5 getinfo/status queries in 1 second?

Or perhaps you can just compile me a version of Luigi's proxocket/universal fake players limiter that is compatible with Win Server 2008 x64...

That would result in valid requests being rejected, i.e. DoSing yourself.

DoS attacks are unable to be prevented without some sort of engine code. Unless of course you want to wade through ASM/IDA and make hooks, be my guest. If anyone makes a DoS attack prevention system, might as well prevent against Q3Fill, smurfing and DDoS as well (DoS is really an umbrella term- DDoS is the most common, followed by smurfing and ping flooding)
