Hi everyone, I just finished my first map EVER...I came here to get some feed back on it before I submit it... This is the Hidden Hangout, I've been working on this map for far to long and have finally finished. This map includes a swimming\hot tub area (by the way those ladders actually work) , archery range, Italian restraunt\sports bar, secret basement, Moon Bounce (big bouncey things kids have at picnics), A lobby for a "special" game place, a very detailed LAN party room, and a whole bunch of secrets (which are probably to easy to find....) TY! familiar...IVE NEVER submitted anything to jk3 files....unless u no me from ingame...(whats your ingame name?) U dont play republic commando do u??? cause i think i remember some1 named Zyar from RC mp mayb3 im imagining it lol

Zyar Drann. Havent been able to play online for a year or so. Your name just seemed fimiliar, from when I used to play online.

o...hmm...i havent played in about over a year either ...my name used 2 be Ali3n...before that it was Da Ghost lol I think this 1s gonna stay for awhile lol alright i just thought maybe u did....oh well...

You definitely need some tips in Lighting. There's no light source, and the lighting is totally random. I'm sure if you asked nice, Inyri would help you out a bit there ;). The textures are very bland, repetitive, and seriously clash with everything else. Try to make your own textures. Especially since I would never see bricks that size in any sports bar *I* went to. You make want to shrink those or something. The fireplace should be brick also, not shale ;).

actually i no how 2 light...but i put a giant light source in my map (value of 10,000 lol) for testing purposes and then forgot about it....now i cant find it....my lighting sources when i started were quite good...do u think i shader sun would be ok or r u talking like street lights and light bulbs??? the only thing is i cant really fix the textures cause the way my map was designed there r many brushes that cross paths and overlap in some cases so if i do that i would have some seriouse z-fighting however i do agree with the bland ness...on the games building at least sorry i dont really c how there bland...unless u mean that there all kind of dull and boring...lol sorry im kind of tired i had a LONG day...as for making my own textures...some of those R MY own textures however many were taken from onoobi's mcc village map which HE got from mayang.com/textures ....so yeah...ill keep in mind what u said...but i probably wont fix these untill i release it ill then update it...this is because i need LOTS more people to comment so i can get more opinions....thanx for the tips Deviant!! o by the way this is a role playing map/ hangout...its not supposed to be "exciting" and bright but i will think about what u said....i might even add some rain fx and change the sky box in v2...im not sooo sure though....ANYWAYS i better stop talking...THIS IS LONG!

o by the way the 4th shot is a very bad angle...it doesnt look like that....just bad angle thats y the bricks look distorted as well...

The textures are very bland, repetitive, and seriously clash with everything else.

AHHH i even tried to make sure that didnt happen by using lots of different textures....guess i made it worse lol...the reason the fireplace isnt brick is because i used SO much brick in this map already i tried 2 do something diff. *sigh*

Hey man..this map looks awsome for a first try. As .the deviant recommends, I would update the lighting and make the fun catsle destroyable =O and I would be pefectly willing to beta test *wink* lol

It looks good, but... I've never seen a cue stick that looks like that before...
