You can sort files by downloads... It's easy enough to check.

JA+ has over 300k downloads. JA+ and Movie Battles II are probably the most popular large mods on Jedi Academy, so if online play if your thing, you should probably go for one of them.

Links for JA+ and MBII respectively. Keep in mind that MBII comes with a ton of maps and models you probably won't find in other places.

On a side note, if you wanted more variation in your custom character in SP, I'd recommend either Spanki's Jedi Customisation or Sith Customisation - I say "either... or..." because they're both pretty big, so they might not both fit in the species menu at the same time. They're both pretty good for making your very own Jedi/Sith, so if you wanted more options from the SP character creation system, here you go!

Also keep in mind that MBII is a total conversion mod, and therefore nothing like base. It's seems that a lot of people haven't really gotten that yet, because the review itself didn't clarify that.
