This could be done easily with a script. You could also create a loop of entities using target_relay and target_delay to fire a sound entity every interval.

Or if you wanted to script it:

rem ( "looping dingdong" );

loop ( -1 ) { sound ( /*@CHANNELS*/ CHAN_AUTO, "sounds/dingdong.wav" ); wait ( 180000.000 ); }

I believe should work, just compile and trigger it! Oh, and replace my dingdong.wav with whatever sound you were planning on. The 180000 is in milliseconds, so that should be 30 minutes, unless my math skills have really gone down.

I don't think that script will serve the purpose very well. Surely the sound should be coming from the direction of the clock tower.

i think it might be asy easy as having me place a speaker, with said sound in it, and have it repeat with a delay

Based on the description given by GTK Radiant, I'd say you are correct.

"GTK Radiant 1.4""wait" : Seconds between auto triggerings, 0 = don't auto trigger

If you wanted it to play the sound from the clock tower, you'd have to make it use the target_speaker, no?

Well, use what-ever method you prefer.

You can use a script to generate localized sounds too, but in this case a speaker seems like it'll work just fine.
