Right, so I'm making a Upgraded version of My Tron Evolution/Legacy Disk (pictures below, the new one), with a better model and better Textures. In Game

Just a few questions:

1. When throwing, the disk is Vertical, not horizontal. I was just wondering if anyone had a tip on how to fix that without coding. It also loses its texturing when thrown

2. How would I add a glow to the Tron disk

3. Can you use the saber file for the separate attack animations

In the picture in Gmax that you posted, that white cylinder looks like it has way too many edge loops. When you make a cylinder in Gmax, there is an option called height segments, you should probably try and adjust that next time so you don't have wasteful verts.

Buddy, that's a player model's vert count you have there. Basically, chop that sumbich down by at least 2300 verts, then come back and we'll talk.

Get rid of all those extra height segments. That will reduce the detail drastically, I recommend selecting all those outside vertices where the "edge" should be, scale them on the Y axis (or is Z height? I can't remember for sure) and then weld them (Ctrl+w on an editable mesh, you'll have to use the weld button if you're using an editable poly, at least I think it works like that in gmax)

Edit: oh and also, the more smoothing groups you have, the more vertices there will be ingame, however you need to have them, having no smoothing groups at all will break it and cause there to be excessive amounts of vertices

This is due to the fact that JKA splits the model's triangles along its smoothing groups for lighting.

And again, still looking good. (Even better to be honest)

I still can't get it to glow, and not only that, but the shader seems to mess up other shaders :( . Everything else seems to work now though.

Edit: I am also working on a better Menu mod... how would I go about

1. Changing the Video Shape 2. Failing that, Remove the video?

Can't help you on the menu, but post your shader up in some spoiler blocks.
