*sigh* I AM sorry to be troubling people again with these mapping problems but the tutorial cannot help me with these problems.
(1)Lifts: I'm trying to make it so when you go near the lift rather than on it, it will work. I have tried using triggers but they aren't working so this is problem no. 1.
(2)Breakable Objects: I'm looking for a way (if any) to make breakable objects respawn over time or with a switch. This I just can't figure out!
Thanks for all the help in advance.

I can't to make that, what did you ask in the 2), but I think I could help in the first...could you write here, what did you set to the trigger, what to the elevator, and how did you put the trigger and the elevator?
trigger at top. (target t27, wait 5, trigger multiple)
trigger at bottom. (same as above)
lift. (height 448, target t27, func_plat)
hope this helps

The lift should have a targetname, not target. It should be targeted, not targeting.
it's still not working. i changed the target on the triggers to lifthanger and changed the targetname on the lift to lifthanger. i used the map. files that came with Gtk 1.4 and the layout is near enough the same but that didnt work either...
Hooray! I found a tutorial that showed me what I was doing wrong. It was all about the speed, delays and wait functions so that's fixed now. Thanks for all the help but I still have the other problem (1). Any ideas how to do that?

I don't think it's possible to do that with a func_breakable. You might be able to do it with a door that requires damage to activate, and plays an explosion effect when it gets opened.
Oh. Thats a disapointment. Ok then, thanks for the help anyway.

No no, you can probably do it with some trickery. :D
A script can do it for sure. It'll just be a little involved. But that's probably a little more involved than you want to get.
No no, I'm here to learn (and to Map lol) but If you could maybe point me in the direction of a tutorial or something that might help me a little, that would be great.
