its been a while but ive recently come across a discovery which will allow you to save a map in Windows 7 64 bit in GTK radiant 1.4.0
So here is how it goes.
1. Open your Radiant 1.4
2. Go to edit -> preferences -> Layout
3. Now click at Use win32 file load dialogue so that it is deselected.
4. If you save a map it's REALLY IMPORTANT that you write .map. Really don't forget to write >>.map<<
I hope it will help you and good luck with your maps.
Very nice ;o
Nice, I was always annoyed that I couldn't get 1.4 to work on my laptop. I've been stuck with 1.5 for a whole year :bawl:
Er, this has been posted here several times, and is in one of the stickies somewhere =p
fortunately win 7 is sufficiently scared of me to allow to save without unchecking it... or maybe it's just broken in the right way ;) (but, i'll keep it in mind)
You are one of the rare lucky people :D
Wow, really? It's that easy?
I feel silly now...wish I'd known that LONG ago.

And we expect the newbies to read the faqs and posts, don't we?:sillyme:
Well in my defense I hardly even visit the JA boards or do anything here. Just messing around in the spam forum...
I didn't want to critise you, it just sounded epic :D
