i need to know how to uvw map (wrap?) and unwrapping gmax. i just finished amodel that has 5 boxes, 2 planes, and 2 cylinders. it is a weapon model based on the longsword from Fable.

Then UV map all of them. You can either use more than one skinmap, or fit them all in on one by "eyeing it".
"eyeing it"? what does that mean? i want them all to be in one skinmap.
i just dont get uv mapping at all. i am completely confused when it comes to uv mapping. how do you select multiple faces without dragging that box that selects evry thing in it around. do yuou have to hold down a certain button while you are selecting all the faces you want to select?
yep. if your using gmax u hold Ctrl to select multipule faces. I suspecet it would be the same in 3ds max (dont quote me on that :P)
