Hi all.I am currently making a sword model,I have finished the model, scaled it, added the tags and skinned it.The last thing before exporting it as a MD3,I would like to ask a question. It may be silly, but I think its important. The model consists of a sphere,an octagon Cylinder and a box.So I wanted to ask that should I attach thses together? Or should I attach any other objects (Like sphere to the cylinder) together? Help Needed! With Regards, ~Darth MAk~.

No, I'm pretty sure you don't really have to attach anything unless that is your preference.

when you export, it becomes one object with multiple elements, the only thing you NEED to do, is make sure all the verticies are weighted correctly.

actually with swords, and the .md3 format in general, i don't think vertex weighting is supported (god it's been a while...).

so forget that for now, instead you need to make sure everything is linked properly, in the correct hierarchy.

google it.
