No offence, but it's been done. Unless you're gonna do an amazing texturing job, it'd be a little bit pointless. (incase my spoiler pic failed again, Jedi Knight Files - Screenshots for File: The Force Unleashed Pack is the link to the pic)
I'd like this hilt by itself, and not part of a pack, so good luck.
To be honest they look like a terrible photosource job... So far I liked the other one better. You might want to make it "less scratchy" and more polished overall aswell as add more detail.

I havnt photosourced it's just on my refernece picture the saber is all dirty and scratchy I've tried to recreate that look
and ingame it will look different through the shaders i'll use different envirronment textures for the different materials with different strenght it will look much better ingame
Looks good to me, Ashura. :) And besides, modders have always made more than one version of a particular character's hilt before (Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Luke, etc.), so having more than one version of Galen Marek's lightsaber? Not any problem for me.
Reduce the amount of polygons and work on the texture a lil more since the one above is probably for the JAU mod and wont get released any time soon.
hmm i have that other hilt, but the author mentioned that part of it is just his own work. i would prefer to see a fully accurate hilt. keep up the good work ashura.
first of all : the saber had EXACTLY 999 Vertices before I exported it in milkshape =p
and now...... the cool stuff :

I think it came out very good and ingame it doesnt look to scratchy anymore cause the texture is filtered now unlike it was in milkshape
