I try to have my doors only openable with a switch, but if I use either trigger_multiples, or func_usables the door won't open correctly. The func_usables can't be pressed. Either the door doesn't even open because the func_usables can't be pressed, or it opens when you get close to it. I never have anything in the entities window besides classname and I have the "player_use" button checked
Same happens with spawning NPCs by a button. The func_usables can't be pressed again, and if I use a trigger_multiple they only spawn once.
I have in the entities window for the trigger_multiple:
count -1 delay 1 Then I have the same as the doors: the "player_use" button checked
So what do I need to do to get it to work well? It worked once with trigger_multiple but after that it stopped working all together. Help would be greatly appreciated...
Oh and how can you make it so that you can press a button and it spawns a bacta canister? It would be cool. Kahn had something like this in his sith council map. I would like to know how to do that.
EDIT: Another thing, I have JK2 textures in my map, but I also have some JK2 models which don't work good either to people who don't have the JK2 assets Installed. The nar shadaa plant doesn't show the plant part, and the nar shadaa reelo's chair isn't textured. How can I have the models work like they should to people who did not install the JK2 assets?
For the button... Try a func_button or add a wait key to your trigger multiple.
For the JK2 stuff... You will need to add all needed file to your pk3. Not the whole pak file fro JO but the models and textures for the models. You will also need any needed shaders but I would advidvise you on changing the shader and texture names as they may conflict with JA.
It made no difference when I gave the trigger multiple a wait key, and the plant I was talking about doesn't work even if you have the JK2 assets.
I'll try func_button tomorrow, but I doubt it will work either.
I also am using lava in one area of my map, then I used the same wall that touched the lava for the wall for another room, and it gave a very strange effect because now I see a red line on the sides of the walls.

I would help, but for some reason I can't see attachments/picture links here anymore. But is the wall made of more than one brush? Otherwise, it looks like a case of z-fighting.
Uhhh yes, I had to make it more than one brush, but before I had it as one big brush and it gave the exact same effect...
As for the trigger_multiples, they work but only once for the NPCs and I can't have a green link when I link the trigger with the npc or the door. For the door it needs to be a blue line, and red for the NPCs. In other words, I need to select the trigger first and then the door/npc. Problem here is that it says that it "Must have two brushes selected"... So, I can't always link it the right way, which really really sucks.
Then maybe the multiple brushes have a space between them, making the red visible.
I want the red. It makes the trigger lead to the NPC instead of the NPC leading to the trigger.
The red spot and be gotten rid of if you pull the brush on the left into the wall with the red stuff on it. a.k.a. intersect the brushes.
If the model doesn't even work with JO assets then you should just forget using it unless you are able to find the needed files.
As for the npc thing.. is this for MP or SP?
It's for MP. I want it so that you press a button and it spawns the NPC.
For the plant, since the model is a plant but is missing the plant and it only has the plant pot, can I use brushes and some shaders I saw in the yavin textures to do the plant?
And for "The red spot bla bla bla..." I am not sure what you mean...
