Hey, I could use a modder's help. First off, I am in no way, whatsoever, educated on anything related to modding JKA. Now that that's out of the way, here is what I need help with: I have the "Melee Mod", the one that has the ladder map, with solid weapons that bounce off of surfaces when they hit them. What I want to know is, how can I modify SP's normal sabers to do the same thing? If anyone can help me with that, it would be greatly appreciated. Be warned, however, that it would require walking me through the entire process.

Also, I would like to know how to change damage values for the guns.

These are easy to adjust.

First off, make a backup of ANY files you Mod, just in case anything you do goes wrong. Next, using Pakscape open the assets1.pk3 file. Within that file are the sabers & guns (as well as other things) you require.

For altering Guns look in this path: assets1.pk3/ext_data/weapons.dat (This file has all the guns an "other" weapons of the game).

For altering Sabers look here: assets1.pk3/ext_data/sabers/"filename".sab's (These files are the sabers themselves).

All you need do is drag/drop the file you want to Mod (the Weapon.dat or a "Saber".sab) to your desktop, alter & save the work, then drag/drop it back where it came from, overwriting the original file. Then save the .pk3 in Pakscape and your all set.

Easy as pie!

Mmmmm pie... :bows:

Not technically true: He asked how to change damages, and that's coded. I know how to edit that, but so far I've not been able to compile it for some reason...

So, using the process above, will I be able to at least make sabers bounce off of objects like in that melee mod?
