what sofware do i use to MOD? i am a beggeninner, so i need a something thats easy to learn. and yes, i know how to make pk3s.

Well, how do you want to mod? Want to skin, map, model, etcetc.

mod, like change sounds, screens ect, nothing like mapping and skinning.

learn by downloading mods that do what you want to do and unzip stuff and look what they changed.

unzip the assets1.pk3 and assets0.pk3 in /base and see the raven files.

that's how I learned. I would be more specific but I don't know what you want.

best way is to learn your self though.

more specific eh? well if you have ja+ (the new one) it changes the startup screen, the menu, some music, adds a few sabers, little things. i do a little mapping so maby when i get better ill include that. i am also interested in changing the crosshairs and the HUD. i look through the assets files but i dont understand how you can leard from them.

you can always try to look at the C++ (*.cfg) texts for jk3. they are really easy to understand. And then you can modify them. Not hard at all...

you can make a folder in your GameData - folder. then people can go (in game) to setup/mods/ and press a little to activate your mod. and you can find the cfg -files in the pk3: s and you can modify them in WordPad. I can try to find some tutorials...
