I'm working on (started about 3 hours ago) a space station that is orbiting Saturn, It's a civilian mining station that mines crystals from Saturn's Rings. No lighting so far... The map currently consists of:
A hanger [Heavy WIP]: I'm hoping to get a system where the floor opens up and a mining ship flys in, drops some rocks, then flys out.
A crystal separation chamber [WIP]:
Basically it's a machine that separates the crystal from the rocks. :) (last pic has lighting :) )
And a corridor and elevator joining them:
Comments? Constructive Criticism?
Needs more texture variation and/or contrast (as in light textures meet dark textures with a "rim" in between). but the level design looks good so far :)

I think I know what you mean, so like a rib between them? (with shader lights, yay)

In that last pic, that door needs some fixing on the texture. Accent the hallways using a trim, as that always seems to work for me.
For the hangar, might I recommend a forcefield with a view of space? It seems a little small anyhow.

the door is meant to be like that :), it opens at the end of the first texture, it looks ok when you see it :).
There is a forcefield, two infact, then there is space, wide empty space :D . The hanger isn't really meant to be big, it's only meant to fit a small mining ship, which drops the crystal rich materials into the floor. (it opens up)
There is now light!! (well mostly) and I've decided to modify the hanger a bit, And the rock hauler entity is ready :)

Okay, Massive update :). Where to begin...
I Have encountered a problem though, I've got an area where you can be thrown out into space (and die ofc), I've got a trigger_multiple (switch) triggering a target_activate to turn on the trigger_push (with inactive flags checked), it works, but when you walk into the trigger_push while it's inactive, the screen shakes repeatedly, and you almost teleport forwards, then backwards.(kinda like really bad lag)
Is there a solution?

Scrapped the idea, the miner just flys through the hanger area, and disappears through some doors.
