For the past two days or so, I've been following this tutorial for modeling iron man's helmet in gmax

Ironman Helmet Modeling

It's not the most informative tutorial but I think things are coming along nicely.

I'm not sure if I want to actually model the whole suit (although I have the necessary sketches) or just model the helmet for practice/portfolio purposes.

Oh and kind of unrelated, but HOLY $#!^ just found this: Iron Man 2 MKV "Suit case armor" Build 2010 Master Le :D - Page 2 - The Superhero Hype! Boards l_5b5c618ddb6b4b029bfc3424730a3c27.jpgl_1462fac92470486e9221bd88ddff4d64.gif

Briefcase Suit/Mk V from Iron Man 2 was awesome. Shame it's called 'suitcase' everywhere. Suitcase is what you pack stuff in to take on holiday... On topic, it looks awesome. However, it'd need putting in something like 3DS Max or XSI or something before becoming a playermodel.

You could always make the helmet into a thermal detonator replacement. Or maybe have it as a little easter egg in a secret part of a map - an underground hi-tech bunker with all the pieces of the suit hanging up on the wall. And maybe an arm held in a vice with an effect that shoots a laser into a block of concrete like in The Punisher (2005 game)

Why is that? For rigging or something?

As far as using it as an easter egg in a map, I thought about putting it in my batcave map just to mess with everyone's head :lulz:

Anyway, I modeled the lower jaw part last night. Does it look like he's smiling to anyone else?

Well the chin still isn't perfect, I moved on to modeling the side of the helmet now...

So if I do put this as a playermodel in JKA, I thought it would be cool to have several different color schemes. What do you guys think would look good? I personally like black and red...

Go with whatever color combo you think looks good + standard movie red/gold. Obvious alternatives would be red/silver (like the MkV/Briefcase suit), all-silver like the MkII, but red and black... I like the sound of that. Maybe with red eyes instead of the normal blue, though.

Or he could do the black/silver color scheme of War Machine.
