I haven't had much time. But I want to show this because the face is starting to look a lot like Kain. update4jk1.jpg

more updates: updatespq6.jpg what still needs to be done: *few more details on the face *finishing the pants *the gloves *the boots *a little more work around in the shoulder area (*a possible change of the sign on his back to make it more accute to lok) *the soundset (anyone who could find me the "Vae Victis sound" of defiance?() I know it sounds like little work, but it's not. But I'll do my best

Soul reaver series, Kain etc all good. I got to say that Kain is one ugly looking biatch tho lol.

Never did like him. That aside the skin looks ok. Thinking shaders and in game screenies.

I am currently working on this exact same model. I'm also reskining someone else's Raziel. I'm hoping for something to look better than the original too. Which version of Kain are you more going for? To me it looks more like LoK:D but I'm not exactly sure. And you're right, the maps for this are completely hard to work with. I Actually liked the torso on the original model, but now that I look at yours, I may acutally try to reskin it myself. Also, have you run it through modview? I noticed this model clips on the gauntlets very very badly. Too bad it's not fixable unless we were able to actually edit the model ourselves. Do you mind if I use some of your highlighting, and shading ideas for the head on my project? They just seem to be exactly what I was looking for.

forget the cracked skin lines for now. work on getting the actual skin tones right, along with the shadow and highlight values. work on eliminating the seams, and THEN work on the details.

Wow I'm having a big break now, didn't expect anyone to post something anymore on this. @SESSH: I'm glad you think my texture ideas are ok but I don't really like you using them before my project is even finished, this isn't a forgotten project, I just don't have time to mod right now. Also @Gir: I understand what you're saying about the details, but the thing is: the maps on this model are so f*cked up I'm scared of letting all details go because then I won't have any orientation points anymore on the texture.

How could anyone UV map it that poorly and still release it :bawl: Anyway, I'd focus on getting rid of those obvious seams and then start reworking the color (the skin can't be all one color with some darker areas).
