Hey, I'm using environment mapping to make weapons and stormies shiny-er! Whaddya think? (these are just a few examples) Screenshots really don't do it justice. You have to be in-game to see the real quality of the shininess! I will be releasing it sometime within the next week or two, no matter what u guys think. ;)
As i recall, the storm troopers outfits were rather dull, but nevertheless, i really like that trooper model and will definitly download it when you post it plus the weapons look better and less edgy than the original models good job :D
yay, ive got at least one download now. :P but I thought stormtroopers were supposed to look plastic-like?
They are. Plastic is shiny. I have my own stormtrooper armor (like the 501st, but im not in it) and its shiny.
Looks great :) Are you going to put that effect on all metallic things?
depends. i might, if that's what what the public feels would be better. the flechette looks so much more pleasing now! I bet the only reason Ravensoft didn't use this effect in the making of the game was because it could lag on the computers that were around then. What metallic things would you suggest I enhance?
Alright, red wanted pics, so here ya go.
Note the shiny. Also, this is froma few years ago so i am a tab bit short ;).
Lol, thas hilarious!!! But yeah, all the armor is supposed to look shiny til it gets all dirty and rainy and stuff......
BTW, looking great, your doing all weapons and trooper types this way? Cause its a good idea, simple, but good none the less.
Yeah, its very simple. But, it looks even better ingame! I will probably do all the metallic characters that I can find eventually.
Well, its a very good idea, and I'm surprised that no one else though of it. But I can imagine how it looks in game, and thats way cool! j/k
But it'll look great.
