Yeah, I haven't thought up a suitable name for him, but he's a kitty man... so that's what he's going to stay until I (or someone else) thinks up a good name for him. No... I will not accept Clive, Clarence, or Billy-Bob as name suggestions.

I actually have him in-game right now with the most marionette-ish weighting you could imagine (it was just for testing purposes) so there's absolutely no reason I can't finish weighting it and release it. I haven't gotten around to skinning him yet though, obviously. I was thinking of adding a few bits to him too, like whiskers and stuff.

I'm open to suggestions and comments, just so long as the suggestions don't cause me to need to reweigh something I've already weighed ;)

Figures the first name that comes to mind is in fact, Clarence. Jasper's a good name, maybe Xavier?

I thought we decided on Snufflebumpkins? ;)

Anyway, I collapsed the weighted in his chest and hips and made a few corrections Gir suggested over MSN (slimmed his waist out so he wasn't looking chunky, and reduced the size of his pectorals a little... my imagination ran away with me, though you can't tell from that image :p). I'll work on weighting him tomorrow. I think I may go look for some good weighting tutorials so I can get him as close to being right as possible.

I do have plans to rig his mouth. So when he snarls, he'll actually open his mouth and show off his fangs ;)

I never really liked that model. The head looks nothing like a cat, and the body doesn't have nearly the proper proportions. I like to think my model's head is better, since I modeled it after an actual cat. She wasn't thrilled when I grabbed her by the head and started snapping reference photos though ;)

I do have the model completely weighted - poorly weighted might I add - but I just wanted to get through it tonight, so I'll finish weighting it tomorrow, and eventually I'll skin it. I'm more interested in getting it in-game, though. Despite the uber sucky weight job, it looks really neat.

The mouth moves wonderfully :)

Damn, you have become so wonderful character modeller that you will have hard time coming up with excuses, should I one day come and ask again for that character modification I mentioned a long time ago...

Really good work! The finished, skinned version will certainly be interesting!

You could consider for a name something starting with Leo (lion in latin).

I think Anubis is a name that'd suit him, even though Anubis was a jackal...

But hey, this ain't history class!

He looks cool. Great model, I wish I could do stuff like that. :lookaround:

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I think the toes look a little weird, the calf area seems too pronounced, and, as gir said, the torso is way too thick...

Awesome job so far :D.
