Hello duds'n Gals :cya: I've been playing LOTR The battle for middleearth 2 : Rise of the witchking a lot in the past weeks and I thought the witchking looked quite awesome so.... well see yourself (WARNING BIG RENDER ) :

the feet textures aint done yet same for the blue parts (of course :lulz:)

the armor on arms and legs isnt 100% accurate but I like them better like this :)

I borrowed some parts form the reborn model because I was to lazy to model new ones just for one (test) playermodel

Looks pretty good but don't be a vagine, replace the reborn or any other borrowed parts with your own. ;)

Great work Ashura! I knew one day you'd move onto playermodels. I don't necessarily agree with Mini here though. I think the ultimate goal is to create a playermodel entirely from scratch, but that starting with base parts from Raven is fine. That's how I plan to begin.

I like how you are taking artistic liberties with making some of the armor the way you want it. Keep it up so that you stay motivated with this.

No, learning to do it from scratch from the start will end with a better result as well as making for a better modeler because the crutches are no longer needed to walk.

so the textures are done i'll rework the cape texture though (folds unnaturally in some places)

@ Mini : about the borrowed parts : I've made a torso a while ago but forgot to save the un-mesh-smoother verison and so I couldnt use it

new legs and arms wouldnt have been much of a problem but.... hand and feet ? can you give me some good tutorials there ?

YouTube - Fast and efficient 3D modeling tutorial for the human hand

Great tutorial, rather than using ref images just use the actual JA hand itself only to get the position of the fingers so that it lines up with the skeleton but COMPLETELY ignore it's edgeflow and look to the tut for that. Feet are easy, just study a few different models to get the idea. Oh and try to keep everything in quads, it'll deform alot better if you don't have random triangles here and there.

I like it, but the head seems a bit big. Maybe that's how it was in BFME2:ROTWK, but see how it looks if it's a tad bit smaller (the head). But, so far, good model.
