?action=view&current=shot0802.jpg&newest=1Well I started this map a while ago for the ojp team (btw, does anyone know the site for the new ojp forum?). I decided to post some screenies on here to get some feedback/ideas since I have lost inspiration on this map and haven't worked on it in a while. Its a chain of islands with some old ruins, with the main mode of transportation between the islands being swoop bikes. It also uses SzicoVII's amazing horizon blending technique (http://www.szico-vii.com/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=1)

First of all I think you need to link directly to the images, rather than the page they're displayed on. (Nevermind, you must have edited it while I was replying)

The map looks pretty good so far, judging by the size in some of those screen shots I think you could stand to have multiple islands with ruins in various states of decay, perhaps just some crumbled pillars on some and almost complete structures on others. You may want to consider some more detailed meshes instead of brush work for some parts of the ruins, just for small artefacts scattered around or something.

The water blending is done very well, although the mountains in the current skybox don't really fit with the rest of the map.

It's very simplistic, nothing to really make it to stand out. Which may or may not be your intentions. You did a great job on the horizon blending, by the way.

Other than that... yeah, good job I guess.

looks like a Hyrule castle from SSBM map could be made with this.

I think it looks very good and like was said before it seems like you have enough room to add a few smaller islands too that maybe can be accessed by walking through water that goes from ankle deep to knee deep halfway and back to ankle like it would in RL. Next time though post some bigger screens so that detail can be better seen, most PC's now a days should be able to run JA on the highest screen resolution and post direct links.
