Would it be posible to create a ship (ie a Lamba) that the player could walk in and press a button to have it take off and fly him/her/them somewere? if so would the following be posible
To place turrets/auto turbo lasers in it for players to fire at things they pass
and 2 to have some window on it that when broken (ie by an attacking ships lasers) will kill everyone on it (ie it was traveling threw space) useing the choke effect from when you leave a vehicle in space (on a fixed path)
though i know nothing about moding it is just something i'd like to know
Nope. You cant make something two entities at once. I think this was giant discussion somttime ago.
the ship in thoery is possible, but you it'd work more like an elevator, as for turrets those were asked about alot, and i don't think those are really possible without coding.
i have an ARC-170 fighter and outrider that i made that have working turrets but you cant walk around inside the ship, JA doesnt support unique collisions. the turrets work but not that well so they were never released, well the ARC was but that version didnt have usable turrets.
wat about the clone ship thing? is that wat he means?
He means like this: a ship onthe ground, that you can walk into and see the insides and everything, and then you can go over to the cockpit and fly away.
Question . Couldnt he just have people load into his ship have the view screen play a fake video of the outside world. Like some sort of elaborate animation and then have a teleport device some where in the ship to just take him to a new location where he could have the model of his ship on location? Like in the bottom of his evelavator to his ship.
That just might work, but then they wouldent be flying the ship.
there was a ship like that in JK2 wasn't there? the Lady Luck-Lando's ship? execpt you couldn't fly yourself.
That didn't fly around at all in the game, it was just a static object. It was only seen moving during a movie, if I recall correctly.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
