Several things about this thread.
First off, it's not meant to be a request thread. It's more of a suggestion/inspiration thread. Secondly, this is only for real-life architecture you find, whether it be on the Internet or when you're walking down the street. In my case it's the latter.
These inspired maps also have some elegance to them, moreso for an RPG map.
So here's a list of pics I took of awesome places/architecture that would make for a cool map. Bear with me, there's a lot.
The following could be more for like a duel on top of some great tower or something.
Next set here is more for RPG maps.
I got it! An entire level made OF BAMBOO! :D
It's a fascinating idea. I can't contribute anything because I live in a very very mundane town... So all I can say is yes, those would make cool maps! I especially like the glass covered garden.
I am loving this one.
Aye, I'm almost tempted to make it...got too many projects atm as it is however =(

Same... Actually, might make a good little duel map ^^
Was thinking as a spot in a big map I'm (supposed to be) working on. =P

glares at Mug ...that wouldn't be a ...GSA map now would it? If so you had best get to work >:o jk have a beer  oops I drank it sorry :p
I think this is a great idea, i would love to make some maps which include more real world architecture, if only i had the time. :(
Yar, i quite agree!
Most of these are from Philly to be exact. Actually that's a lie. The New York City ones are the bamboo and that one tower with the green roof. The rest are from Philly. The bridge one and the Greek temple one are behind the Philadelphia Art Museum. They recently remodeled the entire park there and it looks wonderful.
The pictures of the tower in the woods, the garden under the greenhouse and the fountains are from Longwood Gardens, Pennsylvania.
I'm trying to find more pics in my folders, see if there's anything else interesting from past trips/vacations.
EDIT: More pics.
Since a lot of people like the bridge, here's one more of an alternate view looking down at the the bridge.
Abandoned Army Barracks in Sandy Hook, NJ
This is.....this...uh...to be honest I forgot. Is this Williamsburg, VA? I think so. . . some colonial town. . place. . thing. .
