Doesn't matter, the fact still remains that a GLM file will never need decompiling, and that you can just import it into whatever software you have, be it Gmax, XSI ModTool, or (and God save the souls of anyone who uses this junk) Milkshape 3D. Although, if he doesn't have any modelling software capable of rigging and weighing a model, I fail to see how he can do any player models at all. Even if you tweak a pre-existing model, it still needs re-rigging and re-weighing.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
Therein lies the challenge! I've heard you can do all kinds of stuff with XSI mod tool, but no one has a tutorial up and running for it. You're right about the rigging and weighing, and at which point, when I am ready for such tasks, I will likely get a free trial of 3DS 8. So its likely that I will just do the 2-3 projects before me, get the trial to finish them and retire. Unless someone else can teach me how to use XSI to link and weigh. Anyone? Anyone? Bueler? Bueler?
