Since rigging really is my bag, baby...animation isn't too far behind. So I decided to look at what else one can do with XSI Mod Tool and began to look at minilogo's biped rig, and I have to say it works quite well in moving the skeleton around in a natural way without having to move every bone just so (a la Dragon). How then does this translate over into a .gla file? I mean, there's a humanoid.car file here: JKA Animation Fileset, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Others to convert your .xsi file into a set of animations (gla file) with Carcass. But is this enough to create custom animations and merge them with GLA Merge? If so, does one have to change the "foward dive" file in the humanoid.car? What string would work? How do you convert preset animations into your own animation? Just thought I would throw a really crazy question out there for fun, because if there's an easier way to animate, then perhaps it could be explored.

you dont need to change anything about the .car file, just make the gla, merge it and add the lines in the animation.cfg file or replace lines if your replacing animation.
