I used Softimage XSI to make a saber for JK3. I have the right model and texture going, but the thing is I can't find any tutorials on how to get the bone structure or whatever in the model because your gonna need tags for it to be recognized as a saber. And I can't just import an MD3 in XSI because I can't find a plugin.

Anybody got an idea on what to do? I'm stuck on where to go now... Wanna get it ingame and correct before I add shaders or anything.

For saber models, you don't need any bones or a skeleton to get it working ingame, just a tag. You might be better off using GMax to make saber models, though, it might be easier.

Where exactly can I download GMax anyway? I tried looking for it but I didn't get anything but Talking Translator Pro 7 when it downloaded somehow. And can it use .xsi files?

You can download GMax here: Turbo Squid -- gmax I'm not sure if it can use .xsi files, but you might be able to export it as a different format that GMax can use from XSI Mod Tools.
