This is an XSI specific question. I was recently making a model, when i selected several objects, then went into poly select, selected nearly all, and hid them. Part of the main object i was working on is still visisble, so i worked on it, then went to unhide. The object i was working on is completely unhidden, but the hands and other bits i can't see, and i cannot seem to select them to unhide them.

I have tried using cntrl+a to slelect all them unhide, but still no luck. I have also tried selecting nothing and clicking unhide all polygons from the view menu, but still it does not work. What can i do? :\

hit 8 to open the explorer and select the models from there and hit H again to unhide them. the explorer is something very useful for organizing a scene, assigning materials, creating hierarchies and tons of other things.

I opened it, found the objects which had a small red H by them, i pressed H and the little H by the modem name went yellow, but i still can't see them : \

oh you have hidden polygons, the object isnt hidden, hit H on it again to turn the model being hidden off then with the model selected in the explorer and the H is red again hit ctrl+H to unhide all polygons on that object.

Thanks that sorted it. Also where is the sequence of moddeling does UV mapping take place? I'd sort of like to finish my model, then test it to see what it looks like in game before i UV map it, does UV mapping have to be done before i rig it?
