Everyone's having trouble with GTK at once?! It's a conspiracy :Puzzled:

The problem is this; when I go to build (no matter what option I choose), GTK just freezes without bringing up command prompt that show it's building. It stops responding, so I click end now, and guess what - doesn't end.

I've even tried ending the process via task manager, still doesn't end :bs:

But yeah, if there's a chance anyone could help me to get GTKRadiant forfilling its purpose and working, would be greatly appreciated.

My PC can handle it, I've been using it for about 6 months without any problems (just the occasional error caused by myself :p)

Oh, and it's not the map, I've tried with source to a previousely released map and a map with just one room, still messes up. :bawl:

Thanks in advance.

I have no clue if this helps but I also had once trouble with GtkRadiant... okay, this was 1.5 running in X11 emulation environment on MacOS X and it just dissapered without any warning (even not in task manager any more)... I fixed this by reseting the preferences:

"MagnaDoodle"First backup ur .map files (custom shaders, textures, etc...).

Before u try to reinstall Radiant I recommend to try following first: - start Radiant (yes, 1.5), choose Preferences (P), press 'Clean' - a window will pop up saying: 'Reset Registry: This will close Radiant and clean the corresponding registry entries. Next time you start Radiant it will be good as new. Do you wish to continue? '. - Choose yes. WARNING: This will reset all settings to default.

..or maybe u wait a little more for someone who knows this error and how to exactly fix it...

Try getting q3map2gui.

Go to http://www.darth.illusions-tec.de/ and click on q3map2gui tutorial and follow it. See if it stops freezing it.

I had this problem back on XP. A clean reinstall of GTK worked for me. Just make sure to backup the .map file before you do it. I forgot to do that...
