First, just to let you know this isnt a nub question on HOW to make botroutes - i spent a good half an hour attempting to do it with a tutorial, then i came here.
I started off using the tutorials on map-review.com to learn, and create botroutes. So, i followed the instructions on making the .bat file to load JA with the botrouting mode active. It worked fine. I then checked through the tutorial to see what i should do next - place my first botroute with /bot_wp_add. The only problem was, the not only did i not see the zero that i was supposed to hovering over my position, but the JA console said that 'bot_wp_add' was a function that did not exist. I checked the console for other commands, assuming this was a bug in the JO part of the tutorial and that the code name was different in JA. When i searched '/bot_wp' to list all commands will a similar starting name, the only one that showed up was '/bot_wp_edit : 1' - an indication that the shortcut file i had created did work. I then simply searched '/b' in the console to find all commands that started with B. The only one that was related to bot waypoints was still bot_wp_edit. After that, i looked for another tutorial site, providing me with a different shortcut file. Although knowing it would not solve the problem, i tried it anyway, and i got the same results as i did with the original shortcut.
So, my question is, am i experiencing a common problem, or have i misread the tutorial? because i am quite sure i have not.
For reference, here are the links to the mentioned tutorials: http://www.map-review.com/index.php?page=tutorial_view&id=1 http://www.perkwerx.com/DDS/Botrouting%20in%20JO%20and%20JA.htm

All I can think of is make sure you typed it in right. What I do is bind bot_wp_add and bot_wp_save to a key. Because that happend to me, but for some reason when I binded it, it worked. So try that.

They dont all show up, theyre hidden. Fid a tut in the mapping section of the master sticky that will work better you for.
All of the tutorials i've found, tend to be very much the same, and binding does not help.
But tell me more about these codes being 'hidden' because one of the tuts said i should reload the map several times after doing it.

It means they wont show up when you do /bot or whatever. You have to acctually have then binded. I think one of then gives you a cfg to exec in-game that binds everything.
So what you're saying is, even though they're hidden, if i bind them, they should work out anyway? Alright, well, i'll try this soon, and if it doesnt work i'll let you know soon. Thanks

Once you enable Bot Routing (by typing in '/bot_wp_edit 1' then press enter), you must '/devmap mapname' again and then the numbers will show up. You don't need to bind keys by the way.

Unless you want to stop every time you want to place a waypoint, go into the console, and type the command out again, binding the keys is recommended. Highly recommended.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
Oh okay guys, i didnt know that. Thanks alot.
Sorry to revive this topic, but i've finally tried out your advice, and again, it hasnt worked for me. Quite frankly, i'm just about ready to give up. I binded the addflag codes to my keys 2, 3, 4 & 5 (i wanted to keep my lightsaber) and i also reloaded the map twice, once to get the bot_wp_edit code going (with the shortcut file, it would only work that way) and a second time for the binds. However, i still cannot see the flags i am placing, and i am still getting the message that they are unknown functions.
Personally, i only really wanted to do botroutes for this map because i know some people tend to get extra credit if they make botroutes for their map. My map is designed in such a way that bots would only go on the first floor anyway, as the other 3 & 1/2 floors cannot really be accessed by the bots unless they spawn there in the first place.
So, i'm hoping that a mapper experienced specifically with botrouting will be kind enough to make the botroutes for me. I will of course, supply you with a copy of the map. Here's the loading screen of the map, its the only up to date picture i have. http://img208.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mattyquadut8.jpg
Although i would prefer it if someone helped me fix my own problems making the botroutes for now. As i said, the commands still wont show up/register. Bobaandy, you mentioned something about a .cfg that binded all the codes automatically, could you tell me more about that please?
