Ive played this game many times before.was in a clan, made a few rank ups became a Co-GM. But i got WoW and so i didnt play for a while. now i miss it =(. so i went to re-install it and i cant. it gives me the option to play or uninstall. i clicked play and says i need to be a compter administrator to access the game folder.......well....its my computer so i am a computer administrator. =P. so i decided to re-install it.i clicked un-install and it says it cannot find installshield installation info. if anyone could help me i'd love to have ur advice. i might even join ur clan when i get back on =P. im not THAT bad!:p
It obviously thinks that the game is still installed. Is it? If not, how did you uninstall it? Did you just delete all of the game folders, or did you do it through Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs? Either way, make sure there is no Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy found in Add or Remove Programs (if so, remove it).
Something which I haven't actually tried, but could work, is to go to My Computer and right-click on the disk drive that has Jedi Academy in and select "Open", then click into GameData and run the Setup.exe file. It should reinstall it for you.
Well there wasnt a Jeid Knight Folder still there but Jedi Academy did still show up and the Add or Remove programs list. i clicked remove and nothin happened. I tried what u didnt try wich was right click the drive it was in and opened it, went to the gamedata folder and i was able to run the Setup.exe for the game. so its all fixed now. Thanks a bunch Neril. really appreciate it.
