No.

Distributing core game assets is illegal.

Here's what to do:

Go into the C:\Program Files\LucasArts folder (or wherever you installed JKA to), and outright delete the entire Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy folder.

Next, go on your Start Menu. Click Run, type in RegEdit, and press Enter. Use the folder tree on the left to navigate, and delete both Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy folders.

You'll find them in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy

Then try reinstallation. If the error reoccurs, your disc is likely damaged. In that case, buy a new copy.

And I advise you to get a firewall and antivirus program on your computer, ZoneAlarm and Avast! are a good combo, and they're free. Also, stay away from any serials and crack sites, stay away from porn sites, other download sites you don't completely trust, and stop illegally downloading software, as that's where the most viruses come from. Don't accept any transfers from IRC at all, don't accept files over IM unless you are 100% sure what they are, and don't download email attachments unless you're completely positive they're safe.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

If it doesn't work try to copy the file by hand from your CD... If it gives an error it's damaged...

Not in all cases.

If the game is already installed and the assets are corrupted, simply replacing the broken copies with the fresh copies won't affect the installation.
