Say what programs and tutorials do i need to successfully compile a .roq video file for Jk3?

Get the Quake Video Maker. The help file that comes with this program should be more than enough. And no, I will not google a link to it for you. Just go to google and put in "Quake Video Maker" >.

You need the JK2 software development kits found here: JK2 Editing Tools (v1.0) JK2 Editing Tools (v2.0) v1.0 contains the "ROQ Files.doc" which is the 'tutorial' for making .roq files, and v2.0 contains the "roq.exe" which you need to compile your .roq's. smilie.gif

Meh, I found the one in the SDK to be kind of confusing. I like QVM better.

hm.... i got roq.exe with one of the JA tool packs.... but yeah thanks guys, ill have a look for these programs later. and is QVM free?

Alright. are there any particular programs i need to run it? and btw, can i use QVM to compile video data from a DVD? and is there a way i can compress the .roq file as well without putting it into a .zip?

I don't know. I know QVM will compile roqs from AVI. You'd have to read up on it. As for compression, usually roqs aren't that big. How long of a roq video are you planning on making?
