I just got JA3 off of Amazon after playing the demo for years and the single-player works great.

The problem is that I just tried multi-player and I can't start a game. Everything loads fine until I click "begin game" then it says error disk1 not in drive.

There was another thread on this but no one ever posted a fix.

The cd is brand new so there aren;t any scratches. I am running Windows 7. Anyone know what I can do? Thanks.

EDIT: So I just tried to play singleplayer again and now I'm getting the same error there. Any ideas?

Ok, someone's gotta ask the stupid question, so it might as well be me. =p Are you sure you have a proper disc inserted into your drive? CD 1, not CD 2.

Turned out it wasn't a JA problem. For some reason my computer stopped recognizing the cd drive... Now its recognizing it again. Dunno what fixed it. Maybe 5 is the magic number for reboots *shrug*

Anyway, thanks guys for the responses!

Ghosh Lorz Geptun;5417897probably not patched to 1.01 lol[/QUOTE] Patching is irrelevant. Why would a developer / publisher make and publish a game that cannot be started without patching it first? Where's the logic in that? You buy a game, but can't play it until the developer makes and distributes the patch? Talking about digging your own financial grave. CD drive? You mean you actually have a CD drive and not a DVD drive? Must be a pretty old piece of hardware. If it's randomly refusing to cooperate, it's probably reaching it's end of life.
