Hi! I have added some models from Jedi Knight 3, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads - FileFront.com in my JK3, by the way, there're really nice! but i have noticed that there's one problem with the npc spawning during the game. Sometimes, some models from the game can not spawn and i get this console error: "Couldn't spawn new_tavion" for example or this "Couldn't spawn StormTrooper2" etc. When i remove my models this problem disappear. What's wrong? the path where i put my custom models the gamedata/base folder of jedi academy directory.

It may be because you:

A. Have a too many downloaded npcs

OR

B. You've just run into a random JA bug. Congratulations...now join with the conspirators to get Raven to give the modding community the Q4 source to make a jk4! lolz...

Sarcasm on that second point, they'd never do that. But you probably downloaded too many npcs. Try taking a few out (just move them somewhere else while you test) and see if it works then.

hehe Well... i have tried that before, i take a few out (even i have take all out:Puzzled:). When i take out my npcs everything works fine. The problem starts when i put some .pk3 files (npcs) in the base folder...:bawl: oh my god! this is very strange! should i put all npcs in the main pk3's game files instead of put out in the base game folder? i don't know what should i do.... Thank you anyway for read my thread.:cya:

The engine can only handle a certain number of NPC files. Adding them to your game assets PK3s would have no effect on how the game behaves. You simply can't have as many as you're trying to use.

Hi guys thank you for reading my question. I have just fix the problem. Simply, i've reinstalled the game, and miraculously.... everything works,:naughty: now i can add all my npcs without problem... it's a mistery i know but it's possible when i was copying and editting files, i could have damaged something... you never know... Thanks for your concern and help.:cya:
