I am having a problem undoing a saber overwrite and was wondering if anyone could help me out. What I am trying to do is take Broken-Hope's Jedi Master Hilt (Jedi Master Hilt, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Weapons) and make it so that it is a stand alone saber and does out overwrite the arbiter. I have tried a ton of different solutions but none seem to work. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
You have to edit the saber menu. Go down to where it lists all the sabers, example: "single_1" "single_2" "single_3" "single_4" "single_5" "single_6" "single_7" "single_8" "single_9" then add yours after "single_9"
Its in assests1.pk3 in ui/saber.menu. open it up with notepad.
Ok, I am having some issues trying to do this. Every time I try and save the new saber.menu file, I get an error, and the file returns to normal. Also, should I label the saber as saber10? Maybe I just need a more step by step instruction. I couldn't find a file named ui/saber.menu, saber.menu was as close as I got.
yes, that is it. wat i do is drag the file im gonna edit to my desktop, edit it, save it, then drag it back to the pk3 so it actually saves it. then save the pk3. And im sure theres tutorials in the Master Sticky.... Edit: Oh! and dont name it single_10 unless the original .sab file is single_10
oh. well, it needs one. could you make one? just like copy the info from a different one but name it single_10
Sorry about this, but I am running into error after error after error. My comp keeps telling me that assets1 is a read only file, even after I have unchecked it...20 times. It also says Jedi_Master_Hilt is read only so that can't be edited either. The thing is I just want to have the hilt file in my base folder and not have to alter the saber.menu. Is this possible?
