Hey, well im having a problem with my server's port.

Basicly, im hosting it on ja+, i have a dynamic IP, so yeah it changes everyday, my server is rolling and kicking, everyone can join it. But theres one problem.

Everyday i start the server, it has different port, and the problem is, i cant say by myself what the port is. once its "15231", other day "10231" etc..

Until someone join and tell me what the port is, i cant figure it out.

Before some of you tell me to check it ingame or via xFire, i have to tell you, when i connect to my own server i use local ip, for example 10.0.0.2:21000.

In game server starter bat i have set net port 21000 but it doesnt really work.

So my question is, is there any way to set up the port, or at least, is there way for me to find what the port is?

Thanks in advance

You could add this to the server config: +set net_port 21000 Or if you just wanted to check what it was, '/net_port' in the server console should tell you.

Also, the game should use ports 29070 <-> 29079. It just likes those better.

..Well played. The information I gave you still stands.

It seems the game is finding random ports that aren't being used after it fails to use the specified port. If you're using a router, make sure you've properly mapped/forwarded the ports (Recommended is 29070<->29079 as I said)

If i didnt forward ports people wouldnt be able to join my server, i forward only 29070 and 21000, however, it doesnt matter where i put set net port, it might be in bat file or in config, i already tried it, it didnt help me. so please find something different im not the only one who have that problem, my friend whos living like 150km away from me, he doesnt have router and he still have the same problem, Everytime we get new IP from our providers, jk3 server runs on different port, if i noted all the ports i already had the list would be really long. i already tried almost everything to solve this thing out, thats why im asking here, maybe someone had that problem already. if so. please i would be really glad.

If you can connect to your server locally using 10.0.0.0:21000, that means your router is setting the external port at random for "security measures".

Please post what router you have and try PortForward.com or googling around to see how you keep your forwarded external ports static.

Also because you have a dynamic IP address, you might benefit from a static hostname like xaruxex.kicks-ass.net which always points to your dynamic IP. Go to DynDNS.org and browse through the available free hostnames there then download their updater tool so your hostname will automatically sync to your dynamic IP every time it changes.

Uh.. try to follow this guide Default Port Forwarding on the Thomson/Alcatel SpeedTouch 510v4.0 to open your router ports to 21000. If you don't understand the guide, I suggest asking someone else to host a server for you.
