This happened 3 times to me with 3 different models... Any1 know what the problem is? http://screenshot.xfire.com/screenshot/large/742c8a6abe3ac5816395e1978f92fcd72ce7654e.jpg Supposed to be http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1331/progress4.jpg but as you can see it's gone inverse and see through the surface to the other side... Help please!

try to use the normal modifer in max to make it invert in max. Maybe it flips it back to normal in-game then :p

If you want to cheat, you can create a shader that renders on the "back" of the triangles.

Yeah, I've been busy. If you can't find me on XFire, dropping a PM will work too.

Anyways, to set a shader to draw on the backside of a polygon, you would need to add a parameter to the shader: cull back You can also use twosided for rendering on both sides, like water or gratings.

Ok I'm kinda lost on how the eff to write this...

This is my first attempt

models/weapons2/bowcaster/_flamethrower { cull back }

_flamethrower being the texture and flamethrower is the model so would it be like

models/weapons2/bowcaster/flamethrower { models/weapons2/bowcaster/_flamethrower.jpg { cull back } }

or what? rofl this is oh so confusing.... Shadering is not my forte (I'm best at dissecting things)

Well.....not quite, but you're getting the idea. Here's two corrected ones:

Without a lightmap:

Spoiler: Show
models/weapons2/bowcaster/flamethrower { cull back { map models/weapons2/bowcaster/_flamethrower.jpg } }

With a lightmap:

Spoiler: Show
models/weapons2/bowcaster/flamethrower { cull back { map $lightmap } { map models/weapons2/bowcaster/_flamethrower.jpg BlendFunc GL_DST_COLOR GL_ZERO } }
