Hey everyone, I need help in identifying the problem with my JA. I have no problem getting on, but whenever I connect to a server, it seemingly loads up fine, but when everything loads up and the loading bar reaches almost the end, (and it says on top "Loading Screenshot") JA freezes up and doesn't respond, nor does my computer, so I restarted it, and I uninstalled the game, and re-installed it back on, but this didn't even work. So please any help would be appreciated, thx.

This happens. Awating Snapshot usally takes the longest for me, too. Just wait, eventually it will load past it and continue. Its just a a matter of how fast your computer is. A normal map may take sevrel minutes to load.

Oh, no it's nothing like that, I've been playing JA for about 8 months now, and it's never taken more than 5 minutes, and I have a fast connection, so I'm wondering if it could be something to do with the base, or something...

JA might be permanantly messed up. You may need to wipe your PC, seropusly. Thats all I can tell you, unless you don't have the CD in your drive. When the CD isn't in your drive then it will stay on "Awaiting Snapshot" for quit awhile, so thats all I can say.

Is it always on the same map? Also, did you wipe your base folder when you uninstalled? It doesn't naturally get wiped (as far as I know).

No I did not wipe my base, it did ask if I wanted to though, should I just delete or move everything there?

hi Sipher! :cya: ok, here's what to do. it involves playing with RegEdit so if you can't deal with that, ask me over Xfire later or something... delete the entire Jedi Academy folder (delete, not uninstall), go in RegEdit, delete your entry for JA, then install the game again. that's the brute force method, if that doesn't work, then it's not the game that's the problem.
