OK THIS IS NOT ANOTHER MY SERVER ISN'T ON LIST QUESTION. I also am not some noob who has no idea what a router is. I know which ports need fowarding (29060-29062 UDP and 29070-29081 UDP and 21000 UDP) and I have even successfully made a server before that people joined.

Now recently I have been trying and all appears to go fine from my vewipoint. Now there's two ways I can set a server up (using ja+ v2.3 mod): One being the .bat and the other in game. I dont really know which one is better for what and what the difference is. When I set my server up in game I see it under local as [UDP]. Then I go to internet and ....IT DOES SHOW UP. I can click on it under internet and join. Now when I tell someone else to join they always complain that they cannot find it but I see my own server under internet all the time.

Another way that I launch the server is via the .bat file. When I do this I don't find my server under local. This seems a little strange so I then check internet and whoop dee do it's there. Still NOBODY ELSE SEEMS TO SEE IT.

Everything works fine from my side. I dont know what I am even trying to fix. What should I see in the console to tell me the server is functioning. Usually it just says sending heartbeat to . Should the last line be the hitch warning (I have been told this)? Or do you think that my tester is just plain retarded and can't find my server?

Perhaps the bottom line of this whole topic isn't to help me troubleshoot. I really just want to know what exactly should happen when a server is working correctly? I have been looking back at so many topics on this and they all have to do with people not finding their server on the list and not knowing how to foward ports. Some people say you should never see your own server on the internet list but my personal experiance tells me otherwise. I really would be happy if some person who has experiance with server hosting could reply and help me understand what I should be seeing.

OH and btw please dont tell me to use the search button I have been looking for over an hour and would appreciate some real help.

Thanks in advance

no1 can see it becus 2 reasons

1) there a whole lot of servers in 1.01 makes it almost impossible to find a specified server 2)servers not rent/bought will be name ...................and maybe a lil letter of their server which makes it more impossible... so best thing to do is go on another computer and check ur ip adress, write it down, and give the people u want to join ur server ur ip...
