Is it possible?

I'm talking about a mod like JA+ or MBII, and instead of going to Setup -> Mods -> JA+ or whatever, is there a way of loading it through a console command?

Btw, I do know that if you join a server it loads the correct mod for you, I'm just curious.

No, the FS_Game variable is read-only once the game has initialized.

I've also heard the "load mod" menu is glitched and doesn't work correctly. If you want a mod to load right, it's easy to make a .bat file that changes fs_game before the game loads. Basically, it's more reliable to have a desktop icon for each mod you have loaded, each icon connected to it's own .bat file.

That's too bad. The "load mod" menu works just fine with my version, that's not the issue. I'm simply trying to figure out a way to open a specific mod which starts a server, so I'm linking commands. Problem is: I'm on a mac.

If you're on a mac you could try running the game through the commandline/terminal and just adding +set fs_game after the name of the program (JA, but since i dont have the mac version i dont know if its called jamp or something else)

yeah it is. In mb2, loading from there gives some wierd errors.

Sadly, with the mac version (1.0.1e or later), you need to go to setup->mods to load a mod :( .

Ah... okay.

Hmm... Does anyone know why they got rid of the little console thingy in 1.0.1e? I liked it.
