I installed a few mods and now the game says this when I start it ERROR: filename length > MAX_QPATH ( strlen(music/epiii_boc/AlbumArt_{4b33c987-91F3-412A-A45B-655B81F329E7}_Large.jpg) = 73) Anyone know what the this means?

For the first error, someone put an MP3 in their pk3 that had album info, and so the album art thumbnail (the one that displays in media player) went in as well. The filepath for the thumbnail is too long. If you know which pk3 file is returning that error, open the pk3 file with Pakscape, find that .jpg file, and delete it.

Just as future reference to anyone else, before putting music in a map, right-click the mp3 file, go to Properties, go to the Summary tab, click Advanced, and make sure that every single info field is empty.

For the second problem, stick the Jedi Academy CD in the drive, go to My Computer, right-click the disc and choose Explore. Look around the disc until you find the assets*.pk3 files. Copy these assets files into your base folder, overwriting the old ones.


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I added the assest0 file (that was the only one) and it still says the same error message

The other two assets files are on Disc 2. Overwrite those as well. Also verify that your game is patched.

If it's still not resolved, then it's likely a mod causing the issue.


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

when you say overite do you mean delete the other asset files already there or just put the other files there and do nothing with the ones already there? Oh and I am running windows vista if it matters

Nazgul, i had similar problems. try going to computer with all the drives. go click on drive f, the one were jedi acad disc is loaded in and if menu screen come up play single or multiplayer.

Delete everything in your base folder. Redownloading these things is easier than digging into the file itself, trust me, I have tried before. Now go and delete everything in your gamedata folder *except* your Base folders and JASP.exe and JAMP.exe. Now insert Jedi Academy Disk 1 and DO NOT PLAY. Instead go to add or remove programs and REPAIR JEDI ACADEMY. This should fix your problem. If not, there may be an issue with your computer.
