On certain models, namely the one provided in the screenshot, and a few others, I get this error in the console when I select the model (copied this from a log)

12:19:13 PM - sound/chars/xaoxing/misc/falling1.wav is a stereo wav file 12:19:13 PM - sound/chars/xaoxing/misc/taunt1.wav is a stereo wav file 12:19:13 PM - sound/chars/xaoxing/misc/deflect2.wav is a stereo wav file 12:19:13 PM - sound/chars/xaoxing/misc/gloat1.wav is a stereo wav file 12:19:13 PM - sound/chars/xaoxing/misc/anger1.wav is a stereo wav file

those sounds won't play, the game just seems to skip over them. Strange thing is, I opened them with audacity, and they're identical to the ones that DO play, in that they're mono, same bit-rate, etc...

Does this happen to everyone? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

if the error says that its wrong that they are stereo files, then think about the alternative..

.. got it?

..no?

they have to be mono ;)

They ARE mono. I checked myself with audacity. Apparently, the game seems to think they're not. Does this error happen to everyone?

No, usually when the game says they're stereo, they're stereo. Is your game updated and such?

Yes, my game's updated. And I'm wondering... if it truly is stereo, surely the designer would notice this and fix it? Audacity swears it's mono.

Oddly enough, after exporting the files, looking at them in audacity, then trashing them, (never saving the PK3 mind you) only one now comes up with that error, and it, unlike the others, is a stereo file. My head hurts now.

But that still leaves me with the question of why, if the game has errors with those, the creator didn't notice it, or didn't want to fix it, yet left the file in the PK3. :Puzzled: I'll investigate this further when I have time and see if I can't fix the error manually. (Replacing all the sounds after editing them.)

You'd assume the author would notice that they're stereo, but experience tells me that might potentially be a hasty assumption. =p

In any case, I checked each sound you mentioned and each of them is stereo.
