I've always played Jedi Academy flawlessly, graphics to the max... as the game is low quality to a GeForce 7800 GTX. Though recently.. I for some reason get low FPS, and lag incredibly when other people are on my screen. This has been happening for about a week now. My ping is quite high as well, when it is usually < 60, it is staying above 150 and usually maxing around 350. Any tips would be helpful... can't play Movie Battles with such problems.

Try ending a few processes in the background too. Does it only go low on JK? Your CPU might not be catching up with your card, either.

Defrag your hard drive. 6 times out of 10, that will help.

Also, check your hard drive space. You need enough HD space free for your computer's virtual memory.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Check and see if your /com_maxfps is: I'd use either 120 or 200. Also, see what your /rate is: I use /rate 25000 otherwise I lag with alot of people around. What is your /snaps ? It should be 35 or so. Is your computer overheating at all or clogged with dust ? That can mess fps up. Is anyone in your house downloading anything from the internet when you are on JKA ? If all of the things I mentioned seem ok, it might be an ISP problem that you have.

I also got alot of lag on battlefront 2 and other non related games, and even jka singleplayer. Maybe cause i have to many conversion mods in my base folder?
