ok i was downloading mods/maps/skins from gamespot, now that im done when ever i try to create a multiplayer game it tells me ERROR: npc files too big(*.npc) or something like that. i saw people having this problems in the pasts but they claimed to have solved it by deleting npc files, but the problem is i don't have a single npc file in my star wars folder(i didn't check anywhere outside of it)
You probably have too many .npc files in your Base folder. You can't see them directly because they are located inside the .pk3 files that belong to your skins and models. You can either remove some of the custom skins and models from your Base folder or you can open those .pk3 files and remove .npc files from them.
If you choose the second option, you'll need Packscape to open the .pk3 files or WinZip, WinRAR, 7-Zip or some other archiver to extract their content. When you open or extract a .pk3 file, look for ext_data/npcs folder and delete .npc files from it. Pack up the rest of the files/folders and recompile the .pk3 file again. That should do the trick.
okay, but will deleting the npc files affect the mods or gameplay?
No. Your skins and models will continue to function normally. You just won't be able to spawn thier NPCs. Gameplay won't be affected as long as you don't mess with assets files.
