Something Similar to what happened to the previous poster.

I have Done all that you told him to do. I even went to the means of rolling my drivers back, Reinstalling. I compleatly Uninstalled jk3, Note that i did not Delete anything in the Registry.

I have played the game pretty fine for quite some time. When i noticed this problem i havnt played JK3 for abit. I desided to enter a game. And this is what happened.

It effects the Game itself, The JK3 Start Screen. And it has pretty green lines all over the effin place right before the lucas arts screen. Sofar iv been looking around and iv seen 3 people with the problem. No Soultion yet.

That`s odd. You and SAW SANTA have exactly the same problem? Even the screenshot is same (thief , lol). Now I`m even more convinced that NVIDIA scr**** up something with Geforce 7xxx series or it`s drivers. Or is it some problem with JA? Anyway , since you already tried everything I told him to do (reinstall and / or update graphic drivers , checking DX , reinstalling the game , which apparently worked for him) , you can try reinstalling the game again but this time remove that famous Registry entry before installing it again. Just be carefull not to remove something else from the Registry. If you don`t know where to find JA entry in Registry or how to remove it , just ask. But I have some bad feeling that your problem will remain after that. Hope it goes away...

Basicly i did everything before posting lol, I reinstalled JK3, Compleatly Deleated Every thing in the directory, That way nothing was left, Reinstalled the game, No go.

After that i seen SAW's problem was solved thorough some update's, So i Think where i messed up was I tryed to roll my drivers back. Then update, Reinstall Directx and so on. Still it didnt work.

So i thought about it for a little bit. When was the last time i played, Right before the last forceware update. So this time i went in and Compleatly uninstalled my videocard drivers and all from my system. And reinstalled it under the old 94.24 Forceware drivers.

Now its working fine as ever? Possible problem with the new forceware?

Are you using 169.21 SAW?

Basicly im trying to find this out before I Test this stuff out, Its working fine now but, I dont know how COD4 will run under these forceware's.

But yeah The whole posting thing helped.

Iv came to find out that this is Indeed a Driver problem. Your graffic card is not over heating, Sofar my soultion is to Uninstall your Drivers and videocard, Then update on the 94.24 Also i think this is Geforce series in paticular and not just the 7.

Feedback please?

I don`t think so. I have Geforce 6600 GT now with newest drivers for that particullar series and all my games (including JA) work fine. Before this one I had Geforce 3 and Geforce 4 cards (I skipped Geforce 5 because they suck) and never had any driver related problems that couldn`t be solved by simple update. It`s quite possible that NVIDIA messed up Forceware drivers for Geforce 7 series above the version you mentioned. I just don`t know.

Only reason why i think its a Geforce problem, Iv been browsing around about this problem, Most people had it on the 7 series, I found 1 On the 8xxx.

I noticed the same thing. I guess that JA simply doesn`t like Geforce 7 series and / or it`s Forceware drivers. Booo to NVIDIA (OMG! Have I actually said that?)
