I have downloaded the "Old School Mod" for Jedi Academy, and every time I start up a game using it, it says something along the lines of "Warez copy detected, please wait while IP is sent to raven." My JA is not illegal, but I am worried that raven software will find a way to do something to it because of this mod. Any help?
I got the game to stop saying it's a warez copy, but I'm still worried about the IP thing to raven software.
Sounds to me like a prank.
The source code this game's built on is too primitive to have an advanced form of copy protection like that in it.
In fact, I have yet to hear of a game that does that. Even StarFORCE isn't that advanced.
Unless you get a letter from your ISP saying Raven are serving you with a Copyright Infringement Notice, you'll be fine, so you can relax. :)
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
Thanks for the information-esk thing. I shall now relax, redownload the mod, and continue staring at my first person lightsaber. *drools at the memory*
The author put that in the startup screen as a joke to freak people out. But nonetheless, it's a joke.

Yea, I read your comment on JK3files.com AFTER I made this thread and everything, but once I tried to find my own thread, I lost it. I'm going to change my own ingame string of "Warez detected" into "Your game sucks and must die. Thanks for playing!" now for no logical reason. :)
