0exar_Kun0Well, Kouen I think your wrong... JKA is one of the games that WILL NOT work on vista...

Theres a few other games that don't work either...

There isn't one single game that is incompatible with Vista - anything will work, just as it has with previous versions of Windows.

I've recently updated, and all of my games work. That includes all three Jedi Knight games, the original Command & Conquer, Deus Ex, Unreal, Age of Empires, StarCraft, and a lot of other very old games dating back as far as 1995.

Trust me when I say that Vista is not the problem.

Unless you're one of those people who treats a computer like it's a PlayStation, you will never have to deal with an older game not working under Vista.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

A friend posted this on my forums, hopefully it helps those of you having trouble with vista. Thanks to Jinto for the research on this issue:

If anyone is having troubles getting JKA to work on Vista then I may have some good news. I did some research into the problem and at the very least found a way that worked for me. This way should work for other people to. 1. Go to Game Data folder. 2. Right click on JAMP and select properties. 3. Go to the Compatibility tab. 4. Under Compatibility mode select Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) 5. Then below Compatability mode is Settings, Checkmark Disable visual themes, and Disable desktop composition. 6. Below settings is Privilege Level, Put a check into Run this program as an administrator.
