Hi, Im pretty new to this skin thing inJA. Anyway I downloaded some Starkiller skin with SP support. I extracted textures (3torsos, leg hair and face)with pakscape. Simply changed color balance/brightness/contrast in PS saved as they were and overwrote the old with pakscape. Now, when I start the game, trying to sart/load a game it crashes

Any ideas? Thanks

Are you sure it`s crashing because of that reskin you made? Does it crash if you remove it from your "Base" folder?

Well, if the game crashes you obviously did something wrong. I don`t know anything about skinning, so I can`t help you. Sorry. :(

Not quite. When you open a .pk3 file with Packscape, you need to pull out the file/folder from it before working on it, I think (I don`t have Packscape). WinRAR extracts all content to designated location and you can work with files from there. Packscape creates .pk3 files directly. WinRAR gives them .rar or .zip extension, so you have to change it manually to .pk3. Also, make sure to use "Store" as compression method if you use WinRAR.

Try patching the game. I see you`re still running version 1.00. You can get the patch from here: Jedi Knight Academy Patch 1.01, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Others

I downloaded and tried your .pk3 file and it crashed my game with the same error message. I looked into a .pk3 file, but I just don`t know what`s the problem. Like I said, I don`t know anything about skinning, so the problem maybe right infront of my nose, but I just can`t recognize it. Sorry. :(
