I renamed a pk3 file to a zip in order to delete some unecessary items that were messing up my game. When I tried to rename the zip back to a pk3, it didn't work. Is there a good step-by-step tutorial or any help out there that can assist me? I'd appreciate it.:):saber::feedback:

All you'll need to do is change the .zip back to .pk3, however, if your system is set to 'hide known file extensions', then adding .pk3 on the end of the filename will just change it to filename.pk3.zip.

To show file extensions, open any folder (doesn't matter which one), click Tools along the top menu bar, select Folder Options. Go across to the 'View' tab, and under the Advanced Settings, locate the option 'Hide extensions for known filetypes'. Uncheck the box.

You should now see .zip, .jpg, .txt, .doc, .html or whatever appear at the end of all of your files. Just go back to your JKA base folder, and rename the file you want to restore by removing the .zip in it's filename, and making sure .pk3 is on the end instead. Shazam, that's how we make .pk3 files without using any other programs.

However, if you're going to be editing pk3 files, just use Pakscape, it's much easier than going through all that crap.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
