Ok, I'm still talking about my ffa5 project, for those of you that saw the previous thread. However, I'm having a new problem.

I am currently adding in a really cool lava processing plant that a friend made (and I am editing it a little). However.........just as I put the finishing touches on a certain rotating crankshaft........kaput.

Every time I try to load up the map in JAMP, it will crash just a millisecond after starting to load the BSP. And I am not the only one with this error, either. I know someone else who is having it, too. The problem is that it's not the function rotate. I know that I have a brush that just up and disappeared on me (due to the 'brush plane with no normal' thing).

Also, I'm getting MAX_MAP_VISIBILITY during the second stage of the compile. I was going to read the old thread on this, but it's gone. Also, I say this because is it possible that the two errors are linked?

Sometimes you feel like a N00B!...

Ok, I found out what caused JA to crash. I had a 'trigger_lightning' that was supposed to shock you if you got too close to a certain object. I probably had specified a bad FX file, that's all......however, I'm still getting MAX_MAP_VISIBILITY. Of course, as of now, I just skip the second stage of the compile anyway. However, I'd like to fix that. Also, one more thimg - can anyone tell me how to get custom sounds working?? lol I still feel like a n00b! :-P

Oh.............that's easy. I'm heavy on caulking now. And detail brushes = easy. That's just a few minute fix, lol.

Now if I can just stop the sporadic MAX_TW_VERTS from those dumb npcs. I know how to fix it, but I'm stubborn and do not wish to delete what is causing it, lol
