Okay after getting this game to work with vista, I was so excited, only to find a blank white screen with a few yellow bars that were clickable. After clicking a bunch of different things I managed to start a game...this is what it looked like

I already have. I have updated every single piece of my computers hardware/software with the most recent drivers.

Specs: Windows Vista 32-bit Radeon HD 4870 728MB 4.00GB RAM AMD Athlon 7750 Dual Core Processor 2.70GHz

I definitely have enough computer power to run the game. I have googled and googled for hours on end trying to find a fix, and have found nothing. Its just a craptastic situation.

That's how the game is supposed to look.

But no, try typing "cvar_restart" and then "vid_restart" in the console.

If that doesn't work, considering you have an ATI card, try looking for 10.4 Catalyst driver (Look at the "Crash fix for Catalyst 10.5" thread for instructions on how to use it with JA) It's just a hunch.

A lot of times the most recent catalyst drivers just aren't compatible... with anything. I had an issue with Borderlands where it would literally crash every 5 minutes. Rolling back to 10.5 (I think) solved my problem completely. So try that first and see if it resolves the problem. Odds are it will.

Well you're a moderator. Nobody'd believed you if you didn't have a backup testimonial. =p

Ok yeah, Just tried bumping back a bunch of times. From 10.5 all the way down to 9.8. None of it worked. I still have this stupid screen for my main menu:

JKABUG2.jpg

Thats literally what it looks like. Its a fo sho screeny. My gameplay still looks the same as the first pic as well. It seems like no one else has the same issue as me. I did the whole batch file thing, tried it many different ways on almost every single ATI version and still nothing. This really sucks. I still hear the sound and everything. BTW the batch file thing, I would double click the batch file in the GameData folder and it would pop up for a split second then disappear. I managed to take print screen shot of it while it was up and it said something like "Can't output selected atioglxx.dll"

I ran it in administrator as well. Im about to give up, this is soo stupid. I have never had such trouble with something...and I play a lot of games and have A LOT of issues...

Post full-screen images so we can actually get a handle on the issue. Also did you uninstall your current catalyst drivers before installing the new ones?
